The real “Bold Mary” is Augusta McDonald; actress, artist, mom and the creative force behind all “Bold Mary” Designs.
The New Zealand native moved to Atlanta, Georgia where her daughter Margaret was born.
A 3-year old Margaret inspired Augusta to create gorgeous, embellished dress-up capes – girl power capes. Augusta noticed that the toddler would magically transform when she wore one of these audacious creations. She was not pretending to be someone prettier, richer or smarter, just a bigger, BOLDER, more expressive version of herself.
Augusta knew then that she had captured lightening in a bottle – empowerment for girls in a sassy, pink package, without the stereotypical princess trappings - Bold Mary was born!
“Bold Mary” has grown into a vital company with a vibrant, fanciful line of skirts, capes, crowns and accessories aimed at imaginative girls of all ages.
A Bold Mary girl loves color and style, but is still a girl at heart and loves to play. She embraces life and expresses herself - without compromise!
